Newbie Modder needs Help,

Is there a guide to the unit prod files, and is it ok to edit as text.doc or is this dangerous and what I really need is the Gnome editer which I haven't got as yet.

As you are new to the unit_prod.txt, I recommend you to use Gnome. When you feel confident that you know the file you can move on to using wordpad. It is quicker IMO, but expect some problems from time to time. Just make sure you back up the file often.

As for a guide, I'm not sure. Best option is to look in the stickis above and in the Repository. If you get stuck you can always ask.
