Are there any English ships that can sail in to the middle of the mediterranian?

As far as I know, all of them can. I've had trade routes into the Medit. from the beginning with Barques. Are you wondering about the Atlantic, perhaps?

Barques can sail along the coast and caravels can sail into the sea squares that don't border land.

I've tried it with the smaller ships (I get them confused) Usually by the time I have the larger ships there isn't anyone to trade with down there anyways.. :)
I figured only certain ships could travle into the larger bodies of water (Atlantic / Middle of the Med etc)
