The King is held up in his keep surrounded by 4 enemy armies from around the land. He desperately waits on his armies to come and save him.
I have an idea for a 4v4 type of game on a keep map. The center defender who's general is the king holds a small keep a 2_2 type in a High period game. The florins is an even amount at 10k per player for a total of a 40k game. The objective for the attackers is to kill the players general who holds the keep before they get killed by the 3 other defenders who come on as reinforcements on any side of the map they choose.
If the king dies before the enemy is routed the attackers win. Of course the game is still played through to the end but the main goal of the attackers is to get that king before its too late.
Considerations: The defender who holds the keep cannot bring 16 units without having to use 8 of them as reinforcements. If he tries to balance his spending amoung 16 units his men in the keep may not last long enough. So my theory is that the king player should only take 8 elite units to hold his keep, hopefully buying him enough to stave off the 4 players.
Expections: the king's army can be out shot quite easily. What will make the matter worse is if the enemy brings longbows. Because we would want the players to charge the keep to cut the king down, longbows would be restricted.
Would anyone be intrested in giving this game type a shot with me?
