Playing TW in a window

for example there was a way to launch Diablo II with the command prompt in such a way as to make it run in a window while you did other things?

Anybody know how to do this with Total War?

Not really, I can alt+tab at any time out of the game to do other things (check on downloads, respond to IM's) without hurting game performance. Is that what you mean?

Launch MTW.

Alt-tab back to windows.

From start menu, re-launch MTW. Now youz have TWO instances of game running.

Now game lets you play in windows. Youz can even have windows tile the game windows so youz can play both at same time.

Vanya sez... Vanya once got 8 MTW instances running at same time. But, Vanya play using 50 inch plasma screen, so Vanya not lose any detail. Plus scroll bars blow chunks when in middle of big fight. And, if more than one is connected to Gamespy, be ready for the lag of your life.
