I am reading the forum for a long time to get ideas and pickup strategies. But last week happen something in my game that I don’t think I’ve seen anybody mention it.

Using my spy on an enemy general repeatedly, he went from Informants to Informant Network to Spy network to Assassinator. The cool thing is that the Assassinator Vice gives -5 loyalty, -40% Happiness. Doing so in several of my enemy generals and the enemy King, a civil war broke and several peasants revolts that collapsed his defenses and I was able to swipe his provinces with minimal losses.

Yep it is a great little vice, very handy in the Viking invasion part of the game I find. For some reason I don't tend to use spies or assassins very much at all in the main campaign, but in early Britain all are fair game

does this work in 'normal' MTW or is it only in VI? I usually give up assasination/spying attempts once they get spy network, hmmm continue further next time, especially on kings and heirs

- pretty sure this works for MTW & VI. I use this tactic occasionally, especially if my faction is on the ropes. Once I've got my feet on the ground I prefer to slug it out with the AI since they're so inept against agents.

This is what I used to do also.

I'm playing the early period in the MTW/VI. I don't know if it works in the plain MTW.
