Getting the old naginata models back for STW:ME

I have been looking through the texture files of my STW game, and to my surprise, found the old naginata files, which were put off in favour of the (I assume less laggy) spearman with short bladed spears in place of the Yari crap, which is badly done to say the least (The naginatas are not even held the right way)and I really hate them.

Can anyone explain how to get the old models back, as all my efforts simply have some annoying texture flitter effect that ruins both Yari and Naginata.

I tried using the guide in the stickies, but it is not quite geared towards my problem, or at least not so far as I could tell. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-embarassed.gif

Barroca has made a mod which restores the old naginata model. You can find it in the download section (shogun mods) under the name "nagi-image-set_v1.5". It comes with instructions for the installation. I have been using it for several months without problems.
