Here is my problem.
Approximately once every 3 or 4 times I reload a saved campaign the game crashes as soon as the 2D campaign screen loads. The game freezes completely.
After this happens the whole game is @#$%^@$^ed. It then freezes as soon as the campaign map is launched even for a new game. I have to completely re-install the entire thing to play again.

This has now happened 3 times and is a little upsetting to say the least.

I have MTW and Viking expansion with all relevant patches.
Direct X 9.

My Comp

OS ME (yes I know, Im too lazy to replace)
Video card Geforce2 MX
Sound card Creative SoundBlaster live
P4 1.5 G
256 Megs RAM

I love this game but I'm reaching the point where I will have to return it.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated

I can see nothing wrong with your hardware, (and ME is actually not that bad compared to XP)

The first thing i think of is that the files are damaged in some way. Have you sent an email to the creators of the game? They might be able to help.

What drivers do you have for the GeForce2? I recall having the right drivers for the GeForce2's can be a problem, but I don't recall which ones are the good ones.

Immediteally change your ME. Your problem is as you said, you're lazy, but if you want to play any game, change it immediatelly. The worst Windows ever made is ME.

For easier and less problem playing use WIn98 or Win XP. Also skip the Win 2000, cause it's not tottaly game optimized.

With your graphic card you can play on maximum settings, cause I have it until 3 months ago.

Also if your system fall down for any reason, there is a medicine for that too. Aafter you finish instaling Widown, office and programs you use often, try to make an image file with Norton Ghost, so later you only need couple of minutes to return back you full system with all settings.
