Charlemagne mod

I am not a modder, however, I have an idea for a mod. This would take place in the year 771 A.D., dealing with the conquests of Charlemagne. I would use the normal MTW map, although with some provinces rearranged to be more appropriate for the Dark Ages.
All that's been done so far is brainstorming, but the following factions are what would be included:

Christian Factions(no orthodox/catholic distinction here):
Franks
Lombards
Duchy of Benvento
Papacy
Byzantines
Galicians

British Isles- Saxons, Mercians, Scots, Irish, etc...I'll have to decide which factions are worth putting in.

Muslim Factions:
Cordovans
Abbasids

More pagan factions than in regular MTW, including:
Avars
Magyars
Bohemians
Moravians
slavic factions

Viking factions- Danes, Norse, and Swedes

Khazars- a Jewish faction. I've really wanted to see a Jewish faction, and this is a good opportuniy to create one.

So anyways, I'm sure some people out there have some knowledge on this. I'd like some advice on this.

Hi Earl, sounds like a fine idea for a mod, as Gregoshi said, look around the Dungeon then post your idea there, and if you spark enough interest to form a team you are on your way,If I can be of any help with modding Q's dont hesittate to ask...LOS

Hmm.

Whats with continental (nothern Germany) Saxons? Led by chief Widukind and being of Norse Religion. And allied with the Danes and the Frisians against Charlemagne.

In real life, Charlemagne finaly beat them and forced Widukind to baptize and burned the central Holy Place of the Saxons, the Irminsul, dedicated to Wodan.

I think someone made already a darkage mod (comparable to your idea), maybe take a look around in the modders forums.
