Formation Scripting Language

Hi everyone,

I am new to Total War. When browsing around the Total War installation directories, I have noticed that formation can actually be scripted. Do anyone know where I can find the complete syntax of the scripting language and how to activate my custom formation in the battle game?

Hi Alfonso and Welcome to the Org,CA has made some formation data files available to us, and they are on the downloads page, they explain the keywords, and file structure etc.
as far as activating your formation, providing it works ok, if you want to make use of it, simply place it in the Group formations file, and assign an appropriate priority integer so it is chosen, and that should do it, what is your new formation?

S= spear
HI= heavy infantry
AX= axeman/polearm
LC= light calvary
HC= heavy calvary
G= general

I have look back and forth in the download section but still can't locate the formationdata file. Can someone point me to it?
