I just read that RTW will include both MTW and VI. Not very useful for most of us here, but has anyone else heard that?

Really? Where did you read that?

Maybe on a later "Warlords Pack" style release, but I doubt we will see it a part of RTW's initial release.

i fail to see the point.

You buy RTW for the jaw dropping graphics and better gameplay, why would you want another copy of MTW and VI?

it just doesnt make any sence.

Sweetens the deal for people who don't have the originals, I suppose. And VI won't be totally non-viable as a game-people still play shogun.

For this to even be viable this equation would need to work.

Money spent on printing extra copies of MTW and VI and RTW, adding the patches and reprinting all those manuals and new cd keys, plus updating the game so modern GFx cards arent conflicting with it.

the $$$ gained by people paying for the bundle pack.

Realisticly that will never happen, Why buy a bundle pack for £50 when you can pick up a much better version with the only one you would play anyway for £30?

If Doom3 came out and it was bundled with Doom would it sell more?

Hi,

I'd be surprised to see it to be honest but you never know. Wouldn't cost 'em that much anyway I shouldn't think. The manuals for the old games would just come straight off the CD, and they wouldn't bother updating the games for new graphics cards anyway. Effectively they'd be handling their own budget re-release, for which most games don't get updated (at least I don't think they don't). That said, I can't see the initial release of RTW being anything other than RTW. Bring it on

Cheers.

in wich case any1 with a decent Radeon card cannot play Any battle set in the "Arid" parts of the map.

theres a horrible inbisible army/tree glitch.

you honestly cannot see anything in the woods including your own men.

Hi,

Ah, didn't know that. Are they aware? They'd probably just stick it out as-is anyway. Caveat emptor and all that.

Cheers.

This thread is VERY silly. There is no way that - from a cost/marketing standpoint - that this going to happen.

Cost = so you're telling me that they are going to go from 2 CD's to - what - 4 CD's??? And are they going to include M:TW/VI documentation??

Marketing = where's the upside here?? What is the point of including a game that has sold about all it's going to already??

This makes NO sense. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-dizzy2.gif

Well it allows us to get RTW for ourselves and be generous and get a gift for whoever we feel needs it.

As I've pointed out elsewhere, this scheme is a rumour, not a plan.
