Which CD key did you register with GameSpy, VI? Which CD key are you trying to use with just MTW installed?

This may help you out too, my friend.
When you enter your cd key (yes, I know, again ) make sure your caps lock is OFF. Use shift to put in the upper case letters, but remember NOT to make the numerals upper case. I know, upper case numerals don't exist, but there's some strange gremlin that makes the Gamespy lobby think that they do. Also remember that if you are logging in with Viking Invasion installed, your old key will not work, there is a new CD key on your VI case you need to look at. The last tip is the one error you won't admit to making. An O is round when printed on the CD key, while a zero has straight sides. 0 Say it with me now:
0 is a zero,
O is a letter.
If this doesn't work post the details in the tech forum for Master Eradosan to help you. READ A FEW PAGES there before posting. Humans generally make the same errors, and manufacturers did not make your components as a prototype for your system. You may find the answer without posting, and that will make it faster for Eradosan to get to you when you have a problem that IS new, because he won't be buried under an avalanche of CD key problems.
I had too write MTW cd-key (not VI) 100 times. Activision sux, not user friendly company.

It would have been nice if they could have figured out a less annoying piracy control method, anyway, Gore. But we have to take what's handed to us in life.
I actually got it to work when i downloaed VI. It worked fine.

Yay http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif To the battlefield MasterHiji
Gore if my assumption on your 100 times problem is correct, when you enter the CD key you need to hit the ENTER key and then the game will remember it everytime you login. If you just type it in and then click on login, it will forget the CD key.
Actually you cant even log in without hitting enter. I think Gore means when he was registering it, he had to do it a lot until it finally accepted it.
It was like MasterHiji said http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cheers.gif
