Hi to all (and the HTW-team especialy

Did anyone ever see the mini-serie Helen of Troy ?
It's on dutch television (SBS-channel) tonight and tomorrow night.
Could be a wonderfull source of inspiration to all.

I did saw it, here in Portugal as a film.
Well, a bit Hollywoodesk style, and they had profit some panoply/actors from other films for sure. There was interesting things, basically the historical research was not bad. They did not use round shields, nor the phalanx tactics. That is correct. I liked also the distinction between Trojans(in phrygian style) and Achaean's(more rude).
But the basic errors prevailed. Triremes used by the attack force, and the most part of the armory is from Dark Age, not from Bronze Age 1200BC. Well Homer also did mistakes, because he mixed up things from that age with is own c700 BC.

I saw it here in the us about a year ago, i though it was pretty could.

damn helen to hell lmao she casued so many problems.

Well...that was Helen of Troy than.
Utter disappointment. No part 2 for me tonight
It was like a stageplay with painted in backgrounds.
No, I'll wait for (hopefuly)the real thing this summer.
I'm not much of a Brad Pitt fan but in spite of that...it will prbably beat Helen by miles
