Does anyone know if you will be able to view individual cities at times other than during combat? I have read that there will be civilians within the city to give it a sense of realism, and that places such as the coliseum will hold visible events. I think it would be fun if you could take a tour around the town or city that you have been creating over the years. From a strategic standpoint it would be helpful to know the layout of your city before a battle begins, in case you end up fighting hand-to-hand combat in the streets.

I would not be surprised if CA gave us the option of zooming in from the strategic map to a more intimate 3D view of our cities and towns.

I think CA said that you could zoom in from the campmap.

I believe CA said that not only could you zoom to cities, I believe that if you had an army in the area, you could zoom into particular "squares" of battlefields to see the terrain you would be fighting on. Hopefully, they can implement this, and a general's command rating will have an effect on how far you can zoom, and how many squares away you can zoom to...

How about simply watching your armies march, in long columns, marching down the great road to aid the advance of the Big C up north, flanked by the great mountains, looming over them in their unovercomeable presence, through great forests, over the rolling hills, like waves encased in the earth...
