Hi all,

just had a situation where I was outteched and outmanned and remebered all the morale related penalties I found in a couple of threads here. Situation: I was sitting as english in Corsica happy as a clam building my med navy as the italians decided to invade from Sardinia - I had 4 vanillia archers, and 2 highland, militia and spears each to go with a decent royal knights gen - italians came with 1 arch, 2 ital inf 4 feudal knights, 2 feudal dismounted and 2 royal knights. So I got on top of a nice hill and started showering them with arrows - then I remembered the under fire morale penalty but could not remember (and didn t find now) if that penalty sticks or is only during beeing actually hit by metal containing rain - does anybody know? - it was hard to tell in my case because after I routed them I found out that their gen had the excellent runner (don t remember real name but worse than good runner) V&V - which left me scratching my head during the battle why feudal knights run on impact of some desperate highlanders far from their turf and probably out of wiskey for some time.

The effect lasts for a few seconds (8 seconds IIRC) You can see it on your own units..as long as they have the red under fire sign flashing they have the -2 morale effect.

Ty for the answer CBR - now I know the window where I can hit with melee and shift fire w/o hitting my own ;)
