Yeah it's the same as the -ian switch.

Read the Beginner's guide. It contains an appendix with explanations on the command lines. You can find the beginner's guide among the pinned topics in the Entrance Hall and the Main Hall.

The best thing with having 'ian' in the command for MTW is that you can zoom out of the battle field until it resembles a postaged stamp. Great overall views of the battle field

Right click on the icon of the game and select properties. Add [ -ian] (without the brackets and outside of the -marks) to the target line. The debug mode will then be activated whenever you start the game with through said icon, but not when you use the CD-launch menu.

I don't always use the -ian command line, so I created another desk icon and added it there. That way, you can go either way, AND play the same campaigns. Kinda neat. Most interesting use of -ian is being able to really watch the AI work. Fascinating. (OK. And strictly out of child-like vengeance, you can inflict horrible things on a certain person if you get excommunicated AFTER being invaded) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

You can really have fun with it, and the battle map is a gas. Sure wouldn't be fair in MP, though. You can actually shift your control to the other factions. Wanta play Mongols or Papacy? This is your baby. But I haven't figured out how to excommunicate everyone. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif
