You can make a movie from a replay. That requires some special software but it can be done.

Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/) is one. The freeware version can make 640x480 movies IIRC.

demstra, check out this topic: Creating a Movie (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=7185;hl=eyeswater). Look about 3/4 of the way down the first page for the guy named Eyeswater. They probably aren't available for download anymore, but he posted some examples and they looked real good. He even added his own music to the movie.
