Playing Italians (MTW VI, v. 2.01), year 1310, dominating everything... and the game suddenly crashes to desktop after "holding council". It took me about 2 hours http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-computer.gif to figure out what's going on:

I do retrain a lot in special provinces. This time I use Tuscany for several reasons, I won't go into details. One prince is in the retraining queue, waiting to get new arms and new morale improvements after one difficult battle.

While in wait, the King dies and he is called to duty in Venice. What happens is that in his place in the queue shows up another Royal Knights unit but with 0(zero) men & 0(zero) valor. The leader's name: SULTAN KHALIL II http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-oops.gif (Good God A Muslim in the family? Lucretia Borgia must have been really naughty Let's find out how the Doge will dodge that). When the ghostly Khalil reaches the end of the queue and gets to be retrained, game crashes.

I solved the problem by removing the prince from the queue. But Sultan Khalil II? How the heck does his highness come in this Catholic faction?

I also have a screenshot showing the queue with the sultan in wait, but I couldn't figure out how to post it here.

Did you guys experience something like this before?

I have never seen it before and have no idea how this problem could occur. But that's DAMNED funny http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/joker.gif

I noticed that sometimes, when playing as Catholic,
I did have some units with generals names which
sounded Arabic.
Perhaps the game just mixes up names in special situations??
Funny bug, though

Funny-named general I can handle, but the other day I got a notification that one of my generals had died of old age, and he had no name. It appeared as "Name:"

Happens to me all the time. Maybe he was such a nullity that not even the game understands why he showed up in the first place. Can you imagine the computer being ashamed? I think about this every time Windows stalls. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-inquisitive.gif

Yup, happens to me too. I seem to notice that this happens when I have a king that rules for a long time. I´ve WesMod installed, do you? See, I didn´t have this "prob" until I installed that mod.

That's a Prince dying. Usually one of the Long-Ruling-King's brothers. Very rarely one of the younger ones. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif
