HELP!!!!

I have added shields, pre battle shields and castle flags without any problems. But, on my first time trying to had a battle flag to a new faction, in the tactical battle the banner is totally black Why? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Remember, when putting the stuff into the unit prod file (CUSTOM0, YES, YES) it must be capitals

That thing worked for me when my flags came in black.

I'm just adding flags to SuperMedievalMOD by BKB. He already used Custom folders.

Have you made sure to do both TGA's, the name and the number ones? No spelling mistakes?

If not, maybe you have the size dimensions wrong. I believe they have to be 32x32 maximum.

I made them in another folder, then copy-pasted the names and then overwrited the original ones. Flag1045 and FN_KIEV. All 32*32 24bit TGAs... http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif

I've read the link, but I'm working with a MOD that has already solved the mentioned Custom folder problems.

Ok. I've explained myself poorly. I've replaced several Shields, PieceShields, CastleFlags and PreBattleShields but only one BattleFlag. That one is the one that is showing as black on the battle screen. I still have the problem.

I dont know whether this will help, but I think that if its not for an expansion, you may have to make all three battle flags:

Flagnumber.tga

Flagnumber.lbm

and FN_FACTION NAME.tga

But Im not sure if this will solve the problem.
You can give it a try tho.

Well, after many fruitless tries and many disapointments, I found out the Battle flag problem. It only happened with the Kievan faction...

Why?

In BKB's MOD, in the Flags directory, there are threee types of flags for each faction as previously mentioned by Lord EC. The problem was simple.

It was written:

Flag1045.tga

Flag1045.iff

FN_KIEV


When it should have been written:

Flag1045.tga

Flag1045.iff

FN_KIEVAN


After that was corrected, problem solved...
