Is that available? I downloaded a couple but both are pre-VI. (No alehouse/stew sort of additions etc.)

Thanks. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

There is a good tech tree at the Berserk (http://shogun.cafe24.com/medieval/)
website

There is also a Viking Era tech tree on the MTW VI CD, in PDF format.

Thanks ichi. The online one is great, if only I could print it. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif The one on the disk is VI only.

Thanks anyway

[salesfrog mode] Follow this link (http://www.totalwar.org/Downloads/faq.shtml) and download the file called 'MTW-VI_tech_tree' by Bushface/frogbeastegg, that has a printable and correct tech tree for VI's Viking and medieval campaigns, the medieval ones are done by religion for extra detail and readability. The trees also have extra information like building times and costs. There are some other goodies in the pack as well, maps and the like. [/salesfrog mode]

Alternatively try this link (http://pub133.ezboard.com/fshoguntotalwarfrm5.showMessage?topicID=10138.topic) for a list of other download locations without queues, not sure if they are still working but worth a shot.

bushface/frogbeastegg's guide is great and probly the best out there.

beware of some inaccuracies though. For example, the gallowglasses and jinettes are shown as available to noncatholic factions and bulgarian brigands are not shown as available to polish and hungarians.

I personally like to add to the map the region availability and valour bonus info and then the map is perfect.

Inaccuracies? Gah I shall contact Bushface at once.

Valour bonuses were on the list of things we tried to include but couldn't fit on. We included them in the unit sheet thing instead, it was the only way.

Ok, getting back on the above point: There are a few errors that slipped through the net, but there is not much we can do about them. Redoing everything would take ages and there are over 1,000 copies of the pack out there so those who need the revised edition will probably not get it...also the downloads are on sites we can't alter, second hand hosting from people who didn't always ask if they could host anyway. 3D downloads is the only one we could definitely alter to the new pack. Oh well, it's still more accurate and useful than the trees that came with the game.

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif thanks for replying. I'm certainly aware of the logistic difficulties of getting a new pack out and to everyone.

I would just like to thank you on the amazing job done on the guide. I really helped me get into the game quickly and is just about perfect though very close. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif

I would actually think that adding the units getting Valour bonuses to the map wouldn't crowd things too much if you use abbreviations. for example, writing JHI in bulgaria is enough to remind me. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-book2.gif

I just like to have a glance and know how to plan forward on expanding the empire and take advantage of valour bonuses which are quite important adn can often dictate what to build.
just my two cents. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-jester.gif
