At the .COM. Nice to know you will be able to address the religious needs of your barbarian hordes.

Why does a shrine give warriors plus one weapons? Does this make weapons or something? Hrmm. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

I haven't read the blurb cause I can't get it up http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif ...but it's probably something about adding to the Gallic fervor / zeal / fanaticsim in swinging those big blades. Kinda like "putting their back into it" I'd hasitaguess.

Think of it as +1 attack not +1 weapons because all weapons can kill it really depends on the user whether it will or won't.

Ok finally had a look:

A great relief to see some faction specific, Celtic cultural peculiarities included. I was fearing something like a “barbarian pagan stone thingy” given to all Celts, Germans, Darcians etc etc. This level of detail adds a great deal to the emersion and authenticity.

Can’t wait to see what other faction specific culture is included

(*sigh*) I should never have doubted..

Well, why +1 to all weapons? Improving steel by improving faith? Fuzzy CA ..

Better training/unit cohesion whatever. Although I do hope there wont be too much of this upgrading stuff...but thats just IMO.

Maybe there are no more metalsmiths, and all the weapon improving is done through "churches"

I hope not. That would be a little lame...

I'd rather the shrine gave them +1 attack, not +1 weapons.
It would be more reasonable...

Anyway, there might be a good reason for doing this. I just hope someone explains it to us.

+1 attack is like a +1 weapon upgrade. It says "+1 to weapons"

So it's actually the same?

I meant that +1 attack could be justified by the fact that increased religious fervor could make the warrior a more fierce fighter.
But as you said, it says "+1 to weapons" which sounds as if they have better swords or something, due to the shrine, and that wouldn't make much sense.

Anyway, if "+1 to weapons" equals to "+1 attack" then i don't think there's a problem.

Well I think thats just technical gamespeak..weapons/attack same thing. The reasons for +1 might be different, one caused by training/ferocity the other by better equipment but still "+1 to weapons"
