So I'm a sucker for this game's soundtrack, especially the main menu idle track. On some older games (like Warcraft....sigh those were the days) you could just stick the CD rom into a player and it would play the soundtrack. This one doesn't seem to do that.

Any advice?

Thanks

Yeah I run into similar problems whenever I feel like a change of music.

I get around it by turning off the MTW Music and sticking an Audio CD in my DVD Player to run through my TV (sadly my Stereo is being used for my PC Sound output, so playing CDs on that will lose the in-game sound effects).

I did hear a rumor that you can alter the files and select your own sound files, but I haven't played with it that much.

Besides I also kind of like the MTW Music (especially those Viking and Muslim tunes)

hmmm, maybe I wasn't clear in my post. I'm looking for a way to play the game ST on my stereo etc. I really like it and want a way to play it without the game running...any ideas?

Thanks Again

All the music can be found in the MTW/sounds/music folder, you can play them with windows media player or any other PC based music dodad. Not sure about copying it to a CD for a stereo though, probably doable.

Burning it on CD and playing it on the stereo is no problem (CA was so nice to use mp3 files http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-yes.gif )

Can I find them on the net? Not in filesharing programs, but as uploaded files?

Uhm ... or was it just WAV-files http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-oops.gif

Anyway, after copying them on a CD, my CD-player had no problem with playing them...

I just put all the music in my Winamp playlist, listening to Arab Battle 1 right now. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Windows media player is quite a powerful program, it has an option to burn music to CD. It will even convert those tracks inti Digital audio for you if they are MP3's

if you have the game, then you already have the files, and if you have an cd-rw drive, then you have the ability to burn these files. just choose to burn an audio cd and then choose all the files from the mtw game. then burn them. simple.
