In an attempt to break into the mass market of console gaming, Activision has directed Creative Assembly to change the packaging of their newest game.
It was determined the largest segment of the gaming market falls in the 12 and under age demographic. Fearing their games would be seen as too violent, Activision has decided to appease worried parents by releasing the next Creative Assembly game substituting the very violent image of a Roman warrior with a character that parents have come to know and love.
It has yet to be determined what changes to game play will occur, but the new game packaging has already met with mixed reviews. Focus groups have substantiated the popularity of the new look with parents and children, but hardcore Total War veterans are worried that one of their beloved members may have "Sold Out To The Man."
NOTE: Instead of the planned Rome Total War action figures, CA has just informed the gaming public of their newest RTW Plushy Doll line of toys.
