Hello again. I have a small question.

I have read that the F1 screens cannot be trusted so.........

When fighting a large battle and you withdraw your initial troops to make way for the reinforcements, is this similar to having your Taisho routed?? By this I mean, do you lose the attributes your Taisho gives to your troops because he is removed from the battlefield/map? Or do they continue to apply since he has not been routed/killed?

Hmmm l don't know BUT l never rout my daimyo for other units. The taisho is a fighting unit so use it. I tend to use the taisho sometimes at the heat of battle which is incorrect by some. I like the bonuses it gives my units. Don't make a frontal attack with him, try flanking, backing up troops etc.

Have ye high honor taisho and withdraw him. Men on field no longer have honor bonus he gives, for he is far away, and they are wherever they are. But, otherwise, they do not suffer a 'penalty' per se. They just lose the benefit of their leaders wisdom, charisma and poise in battle, which ispires them to acheive superhuman deeds in battle.

But, this is just my opinion... I could be wrong...

Ok, let me reveal another ancient Chinese wisdom:

In single player battle, if you bring your taisho and withdraw him, the remaining troops continue to enjoy his command bonus!!!

That's right, the only downside is that he can't give the fighting men additional moral boost anymore, but the command bonus will ALWAYS be there.

I was discussing this with BSM a while ago, and he thought this might have significant consequences, and could be abused.

Only in single player though.

Because in multi player, every unit counts, plus the general's rank is always 0.

Very annoying feature when the Daimyo's Hatamoto gets ambushed and then he flees the field... also applies when the army has fled with the general and the fresh reinforcements arrive with generals bonus!

Taisho flees off the field should have the same morale effect as Taisho dead. In fact it should be worse when the Taisho is fleeing then dead.

Voice over is something like 'Your Taisho is doing you a great dishonour fleeing the field of battle' normally followed by 'Your Taisho has honourably died'
