hey, this probably sounds like a n00b question however, i was wondering, when/if i download medmod will i still be able to play my regular vi game as well (thats sp im talking about) of course its possible that i wont want to go back... but just in case.

Yes, you can play it, and all will be the same except for the names of the units (for example Byz cavalry = stratiotai, viking carls = chinese infantry etc.).

alright i got medmod installed, now any tips would be appreciated, also, are there any significant map/ unit changes that i should kno about?

There should have been a ReadMe file that came with the installation. If you can't find it in there, head to WesW's site because I know there's a very comprehensive changelist. If I were to list all of his great changes I would be here until night time. :D

I love MEDMOD however, i have noticed a (possible) bug, my ships seem to be unable to land, no pun intended, in the marmara (think constantinople)

Actually, if you were to try and list all the changes, you would be here until next month Believe me, people who only play the mod have no idea of how much has changed. I am talking about 10,000's of individual changes. I have spent, on average, around 25 hrs a week on this mod, for over 15 months now, plus all the other thousands and thousands of hours that others have spent writing parts of the code, researching, and writing reports on their playtesting.

Now, getting back to your questions.... Go back to my website, and go over the Intro Readme for the mod that I have posted. Then find the Charts and Readmes folder, which contains all the other stuff you need to know. The best thing to do is pretend that you have bought another expansion to the game, because that is how big this mod is. (Though only five or six people have ever thought enough of the mod to send me a donation) :(

I'm still playing the "no-unit" MedMod, as the complete package makes most of the text info in the game (italian version) unreadable (lots of and error reports)...any translation attempt resulted in ctd.
Too bad there isn't a way to make the game run in English (other than buying an US/English version, that is.)

Wes, how is boat building in 4.0? I absolutely love 3.14 EXCEPT I hate the restrictions (that don't seem to make sense) on where I can build boats. For instance, as the Italians I can build boats in France but not Spain, that doesn't seem to make much sense. Is this improved in 4.0?

By the way, I can't wait for a new Medmod. Hurry And if you need an experienced player to help beta 4.0 let me know. I usually get about 12 hours a week in. Although I have been losing entirely too often with 3.14.

Well, version 3.14 is set up to convert the entire game to English, and contains instructions on how to un-install the mod and return it to any non-English version very quickly and easily.

Hey guys, recently instaled medmod IV 3.13 and keep getting this mesage everytime i go into a battle, castle assault etc. :
' Chinese Mangonels has been declared as GENERIC, PAGAN, CATHOLIC, ORTHODOX, MUSLIM, CHRISTIAN, but its IMAGETYPE_ICONIC was requested from compmap\review_panel\units\GENERIC\ and its not present there or in the root directory.

Probably i have done something wrong, so can anyone tell me how fix it plz?
