I have just started playing Mongol Invasion again after a long break. I used to play Shogun: total war, and after I got Mongol Invasion my hordes easily put japan under my Iron heel. After taking a break, I was thinking about trying out some of the new Japanese units that came with the expantion.
So I tried the usual "unite Japan" scenario.
Looking at my units after my first battle draw my eyes to the "cost to retrain" line.
I cant remember seeing that when I played the Mongols, but then I didnt have to worry about buying new units..
Does this mean that I can bring my unit up to full strength and give them the latest armor and weapons tech by "retraining" them?
I could not find anything on this in the manual, but then again Im not too good at reading manuals. If somebody could tell me what the "retraining" does and how I would go about doing it I would be very gratefull. I have the manual so the pagenumber would allso help. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
