Tatics on multy

Ola to all.
I've finally started playing on-line, and I've noticed the huge diffrence between thet multi battles and the ones in single player mode.

I'm having quite a hard time trying to find out the best tatics, and units to chose.
First of all I would have prefered 8 units full with moral/armor/weap, but it seems that its best having 16.
And then, once I chose 16, lets say in the late period with english, I really do not know what units to take and how to arm them.
The only thing that I'm quite sure of is:
- 1 cav for general
- 3 alab pav
- 3 britanic archers
I would keep the britanic arch behind my men, that are behind the pav, waiting for the enemy to come on me (useless using them on the enemy pav).

But then again....emmm...I'm so messed up :)
Could some one be so kind to show me what they consider best?

It depends on how you like to play. You like cav and are good at skirmishing, take cav, and cav archers. Personally, I'm one of the skirmishing types. The 3 longbows can also be hard to play w/. An experienced player would most likely just rush and make your longbows close to useless. It depends on style. But, it is usually best to take 16 units, because you can surround enimies, or resist getting surrounded (being surrounded is really bad for morale).

it really does depend upon tactics. I find militia seargents @ V4 is really good though.

longbows are nice but get some units protecting them and add some more for critical mass of arrows.

many inf are good as the valour is cheap for them. getting V4 swords are so much cheaper than in the campaign and re somewhat OP.

skirmishing HA armies are good but in late games, they wouldn't make much of a dent in all the armored beasts on the field.

There are many ways to do this, and others with more knowledge, but here are a few ideas.

For a 10K florins army not for desert terrain, I use 6 cav (one of which is Gen).

I don't put a lot of florins into my Gen, he doesn't fight unless its absolutely necessary or maybe to chase routers.

All other Cav and infantry should be morale 8 minimum. I like to use elite troops with few upgrades (as opposed to low quality units pumped up). I get Feudal Knights (at V1) and Chiv Knights (V0) for my fighting cav.

I like to have 5 or 6 infantry, but with the English you want to use the Longbows, so I get 4 Feudal Men at Arms at V3 and 1 Chiv MAA at V2 or V3. Many experienced players do not use spear units (spears, Chiv Sergeants, Order Foot Soldiers, Italian Infantry) - at 10K the spear morale is too low.

I get 3 pav xbows or pav arbs (V0) and the rest of my units (1 or 2) Longbows at V2. I put any leftover florins into armor for my pavs or weapons for my LBs.

Then set up the way you described, pavs out front, then inf, then LBs right behind. Cav on the flanks and Gen in the rear.

A lot of guys use 4 pavs, 6 inf, and 6 cav.

With the log analizer I'm finding out a lot of stuff.

While i'm here I'd like to ask another stupid n00b question: is there any way to boost up moral? Or do I just have to chose a troop that has a high one?

I've noticed that the moral is essenzial in these multy games, even more than the valor.

Am I wrong? And where?

morale is automatically increased with valour.

1 valour gives +2 morale.

so 0 base morale militia seargents would get 8 when at V4.

it's good practice to get all your troops to 8 morale if possible.

Indeed, I use almost the config for cav (aren't we all?) only 5 units cav though and I try to put them an armour upgrade (they tend to make nasty surprises)
