Hi

I'm having a problem concerning my units in Medieval. I have currently installed BKB's Supermod, and am trying to modify this with some Byzantine units made by NicSO.

BKB's Supermod is installed correctly and runs smoothly (superb job Blind King of Bohemia). What I have done is copying all files from the Byzantine units pack by NicSO v 1.1 into the Medieval: Total War folder (sub-folders and so on..) and entered unit data into the DESCRIPTION.txt and NAMES.txt files. Then I made the entries into the EARLY_MODDED_CRUSADERS_UNIT_PROD11.txt file of the BKB mod. For some reason, the Gnome-editor can't open this file, so i copied the same entries into the CRUSADERS_UNIT_PROD11-file, and Gnome loaded it correctly. But when i try to run the game, it generates the following error report:

Unknown unit type encountered: column 2 row 184
5

Could it be that I have forgot to enter the necessary data into a file?

One you have to be real careful of is not to remove any of the tabs.

Now you problem appears to be with the an added unit, specifically the second one (assuming you are referring to VI's crusaders_unit_prod11.txt file). So, make sure there is a tab between each piece of data and they all look correct.

This thread has instructions for adding units. (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=7385)

PS
Gregoshi - Did you forget to move it? :)

Qilue, you had me worried for a second. Fortunately I did remember: Pinned Dungeon version of post (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=5;t=7563). Thanks for checking up on me. I do have odd bouts of forgetfulness.
