For those interested teh Khan collected some replay-files for showing to others.

Goto this site and press teh link left.

the replay files include all cav battles, 1 nice 2 vs 2 and an 1 vs 1 attack on the 4th kawanasaki. Check the site to see which veterans and undercover veterans were included.

If u played the khans all cav army lately your name may be amongst them :0)

good luck with it guys and dolls

ofcourse tactics can be discussed openly as well.

It was just a wolf goodie and to show players that there is a new world beyond doing non-creative 1 vs 1 10000 koku tricks on the flattest of maps.

Perhaps Tera could advertise them on teh org as well.

Besides Fast who actually saw some?

Oh? You want tit for tat? OK... here goes...

Vanya's Favorite Tactic (VFT)

To VFT the enemy, do this:
Take 8 CA and 8 AQ. Jack the honor and upgrades on all units as much as you can. Focus the armor on the arquebusiers, because you get more value http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/tongue.gif per koku spent. Line up the arquebusiers in single-line formations all side by side (that is 8 units side by side, each unit 1 file deep). Line up the cav archers side by side behind the arquebusiers, but put them in 2-deep formation.

When battle starts, group the whole army and march towards the enemy. Get close enough so that BOTH CA and AQ can fire a volley simulaneously on the hapless foe. Fire TWO arquebusier volleys at the enemy. The CA will get a few more in, but the arqs are the slow wheel here.

Now... and this step is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL! Un-group your army. Select all 8 arquebusiers and order them to fire ONE volley only at each other. THEN AND ONLY THEN, select your ENTIRE army -- UNGROUPED -- and switch them into WEDGIE formation. Double-click on the enemy taisho. Your army will swamp the enemy lines and send them hollering for their mamas!

Easy schmeasy!

OK. Now its Magy's turn!

I have never recorded a battle. I'm always paranoid that doing so will incur unnecessary and painful lag...
