Quick GA question

sorry if this is obvious but is GA won by having the most points after finishing time period, e.g. 1087-1453 in full campaign, or is first to get to certain amount of points, e.g, 100 (see GA bar graph seeming to end at 100)

One of my strategies is to take other factions homelands which they gain most of their points from to Dramatically reduce their points. I also take the lands (province) that they need to build there GA stronghold in

thanks for the input, i'll see if i have the patience to play it all the way through w/o just going total dom, i'm just at early 1200s now and already 30 pts up on closest. but it has been fun trying to achieve the goals w/o the total conquest mentality. playing HRE and having to deal w/ the totally illogical papacy is interesting (i.e., frustrating).

i just end it myself once the era is over :) in my experience, starting a GA game in the late is the most fun :)
