I've been playing the Italians and started in the mid-period. I've conquered most of the world and now it is only me versus the Spanish.

Everything was going good, and then came year 1281 ALL of my countries have a '100% chance of rebellion'

What did I do? I have low taxes, decent size garrisons, govenors with high acumen My people SHOULD be happy, but they are going to stuff me

What happened?? :( :(

Could be your King is isolated from the Empire. Did you attack a province that is not connected to an Italian territory or an island with your King at the head of the Army?

This happened

Things get messy to prevent you from achieving easy victory. You need tons of men to keep loyalty high.

Yes, my king did get isolated from the Italian Kingdom when he led my armies into Spain.

One of my ships got sunk that connected the two regions...

It makes sense

Now, I'm stuffed :(

Thanks :)

Don't worry

The solution now is to kill your king quickly... and cause a civil war The new king will hopefully appear on land, and then you'll get no more of those stinkin' peasents raising their pitchforks against you http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/tongue.gif
