Is there any way to get this into a historical battle? I remember playing Shogun and I the first Oda mission there was thunder and lightning. I checked the file and it said it was weather sequence 48. This just doesn't work for Medieval. I only get snow for 3 and above.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong ... or do I have to import the Shogun weather system somehow?

Playing MTW since it dcame out I´ve experienced lightning on maybee 20 occsaion and thunder 1 time, last week. Sice I RP my viking only to fight with foor-soldiers only I choose bad weather when ever I can.
Given the above ratio I say it´s random. I now that you get winter on your 4th or 5th battle as a rule but I´ve had winter in my 2nd and 5th battle one year. I do hope you find a way to mod this because when thunder-Thor roled in over the Northumbrian hills my raging viking knew that he was cheering them on and we won the battle. Boy, what an ambiance setting it was. I dreamt about my ninja-warriors sneaking up behind the enemys king, slaying him in a dark forrest one stormy and thunderous night.

Didn't think I'd get a reply. Thanks :)

When you were flicking through the different weather types at the start of the battle, did it say "Heavy Rain" or "Storm" or "Heavy Storm"? This would help greatly.

I'd glad to hear it's possible :) I was going to give up on it but I'll work until I ge it now.

Thanks again http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
