I know this isn't in the right place, but I can't post anywhere else. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/mecry.gif I just downloaded BKB, and am trying to access the unit files with Gnome. No luck. I tried doing it by hand, but it wouldn't let me save, saying some goobly gook about read me or something. Help would earn my eternal gratitude.

Now I can change it by hand, but still no gnome it says: The unit prod 11 is incorrectly formatted. More than 40,000 characters in a single record (probably caused by forcing a unit prod 11 to load as a projectile stats file or an out of place somewhere.) The program has stopped loading at record 78 field zero. Any help would make a very happy Merc.

I'm not sure what BKB is, but I assume it's a mod for mtw. I had a similar problem and it was fixed easily once CBR told me how to use XCel, here's my post. (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=15;t=16233;hl=demequis)

Sorry Steppe Merc, I hadn't been able to get online all day. I'm moving this to the Alchemist lab.
Oh, and welcome to the Org. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

If I recall corectly, there is a problem with the Pikemen in the unit prod 11 file.
I think I fixed it by searching for a "" (two double quotes next to each other), and change it to a single ".
It should then open in the Gnome editor.
