If RTW is supposed to be much more accessible than the previous TW titles then perhaps we should speak up about hotkeys and other controls and what we would like, after all they are as much a part of accessibility as good in-game documentation, simple interface etc. Speak now or forever curse that badly placed hotkey.

For example I remember one thing we have been asking for since Shogun was new - an easier way to bind groups to number keys in the battle mode. Currently you need to hit ctrl+shft+number to assign the group, then shft+number to recall. Most other games out there will use ctrl+number to assign and number to recall and this is far easier and requires less finger contortion. Of course in TW the number keys are assigned to those neat formations barely anyone uses. So I would request that in RTW this is swapped in favour of the shft+number/number for unit assigning and recalling, and ctrl+shft+number for those formations. At least give us the choice to reassign the group/recall keys - MTW offers a good set of options for rebinding but the keys I want to later most are not on the list.

I would also love a menu tick box to disable the windows key in game, please let me disable the windows key in game, pretty please I hate the wretched key with a vengeance, even more so when I catch it in the middle of a battle.

Yes, I asked about the more accessible unit grouping feautre some time ago. It would most certainly make micro-managing an army for complex movements easier by tenfold, rather than the more cumbersome system we use now.

Oh yes, the windows key. Right smack dab in the middle of a succesful charge, when I came back Vik had routed my left flank http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-wall.gif

That's an important issue for MP.

In SP, with pause, who cares about grouping, keys calling group, and other feature which makes control a little bit easier.

In MP, those features are critical. On top of that, each army will have 20 units now; the more units, the more important control is.

I'd personnaly like a key that would select a unit. With Tab, I can move throught units, but not really select them, which would 1/ move the camera to them and 2/ if I click anywhere, the units will move / attack there.
Tab somehow 'whiteout' the unit, but does nothing else...

(or if it does, let me know, I'll bury my head in the sand in shame, but still be gratefull for the help... I'd love that feature).
