http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-toff.gif CREATIVE ASSEMBLY:
I am (oddly enough) very curious how the professionals at Creative Assembly view the breathtaking results of the HTW-team. I agree that they have used the original MTW as base and have progressed from there but still...I think it's a major achievement for mere amateurs (and that is NOT to be taken as derogatory )to have unravelled all the details that make up the original MTW and to not only change appearances (dress and weapons)but also to add all sorts of innovations (chariots and such). Here you see the 'wonder' of the internet in all it's potential. People, living hundreds or thousands of miles apart working in concert and creating a wonderfull end product. CA: How are you people experiencing all this Please respond

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-jester.gif HTW-TEAM: You lot should be entered into the Hall of Fame.
Not to knock all the other mods that are around or are in development (I'm amazed at the results) but in my view you are at the moment at the top of the pile
Honesty bids me to acknowledge that I myself have not experienced any mod live yet as a dial up connection is far from ideal to download any serious mod. ADSL however is on the way and with the new HTW-version coming out by the end of april I'll dive right into it.
Suggestion for the developers: Is there a way to add an extra command to your troops to 'move foward' ? What I mean is this: At the moment your lines will move forward by clicking at the enemy (or at a point way behind enemy lines. Still though...they will tend to converge on that point with the result that the different units at some point will cross eachothers paths. A 'move forward' (or 'back')-command could seriously enhance battleplay.

Dirk, welcome and thanks for the nomination http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/cheers.gif

Use command Alt+ mouse left click and point to a place in the terrain where you want your troops. This works for a unit or several. They will reach the destiny in same formation and direction.

Thanks Dirk for the kind words about HTW http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

We have a wonderful MTW modding community on this forum: There are also other mods that should be mentioned: NTW is a great mod, its well made and its getting better and better.
The Lordz have done a very good job on it.

The Blind King of Bohemias Super-beta is excellent.
Its really challanging to have that many factions, well done.

Not to forget MedMOD, with all that nice tweackings.

The Wars of the Roses mod looks promising with all that nice knights made by Duke John.

I´m also looking forward to the "Fury of the Northmen Mod".

Also to the "Two Crowns TW" mod by ShadesWolf with really impressive castles.

The METW and Silmarillion:Total War mod are also fantastic.

Shogun Mod, really well made mod.

I also hope that one of the roman mods will also be released.

Also the new "Thirty years" war mod, the "English Civil War" and the Caledonia Total War mod sounds interresting and I would wish that the Conquistator and China mod will also be finished and get released.

And resently a new mod was released Reconquista, sounds also interresting.

So HTW is not alone in this universe of talented modders of this community.

You're right of course. There ARE so many fantastic mods out there. It's just that I have this 'thing' with the ancient world and was really wondering how the professionals at CA see this development.

Thanks for those kind words, but i would like to stress out that this is really a modding community and everybody is helping one another and sharing knowledge about each others mistakes and findings. So many people helped other people that is the strength of the Org.So all in this community deserves the credit you give now to HTW.

Respected gentleman of HTW mod (das bezieht sich nicht auf schlampige, hoffnungslose Österreicher),~:p

I have, at my own initiative, taken trouble of trimming the Antalis sig to the appropriate size and have posted it on the link here in this post, feel free to use it since your own sig is currently not working appropriately, as it seems.
