Can you make portraits faction specific?

I would like to give the Danes the protraits from the Viking Era but I don't want to change their religion or culture. Can I somehow do something so that the Danes can remain Catholic but use separate pictures from all the rest of the catholics?

Haven't tried it, but I would think so, by putting them in the MISC folder and numbering the image in **_HEROES.txt.

It should be fairly quick to find out.

I'm pretty sure you can, because NTW uses new portrait directories. Other than "Catholic" or "Pagan", they use "Austrian" and "French" and such.

Gooday guys on the subject of potraits , is it possible to add scaled out real photos for the faction you are playing ?

U can scale down any image as a portrait so long as u put it in the right size and format under the right portrait folder http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I think it would make for a much better game having yourself , family and freinds (past and present) appear randomly .
Ok .., where abouts in the org do i look for more info regardind size&format plus folders ?
