Sorry if this has been beaten to death...
Most of you are probably familiar with the
STW mods, and many have probably played them.
I was wondering if someone who has played them if
you would be so kind as to give a small summary
on some of the campaigns.. in particular the Gempei
War.
I was also wondering if there has been any ambitious
software guru out there who may have attempted a
mod for STW based on Shimazu's small Korean expedition
where he successfully invaded (great opportunity for
a new map and some new Chinese and Korean troops http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif )

thanks for your time

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Hello jkaney. Welcome to the Org.

Here is a topic that discusses some of the mods for STW: Any newer mods... (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=8223)

This topic discusses the Ikki scenario (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=6301) which is a historical campaign.

Here is a topic on the last mod made for STW: Amagi's campaign (http://www.totalwar.org/cgi-bin/forum/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=10900)

One I couldn't find a topic on, was Baroccas_Campaign, which I believe is the Japan's Darkest Days campaign. I do know this one got a few thumbs up from the challenge it provided. Think of it as a combination of the Sengoku Jidai and Mongol campaigns. I comment more on this one because it is the only mod I installed and did a little beta testing for.

As for the Korean angle, the only thing I can recall on this was an online campaign between clans and ronin. It included Japan and Korea. It seemed to have potential but then accusation of cheating and phantom clans spelled its demise. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/frown.gif
