I was sitting around trying to think of interesting ways to make the game more challenging... I think I've come up with a good one.
Game setting: Any period, any faction.
Game goal: Eliminate as many factions as you can within the first 40 years.
Basically, the point of the game is to try and personally eliminate as many factions as you can. You get +1 points for any faction you eliminate. You get -1 points for any faction you eliminated that returns (but you can get the +1 again for re-eliminating them). You get no points for factions that other empires eliminate. And you can't use .matteosartori. as it would give too much of an advantage in spying out weak factions.
So far my best is eliminating 4 factions (Spanish, Argonese, Egyptian, Turkish). I don't think I was playing the best faction for it (Almohad), so I think it shouldn't be hard to do better.
Feel free to post your results here. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
