Got bored; lost faith; tried Syberia; regained faith; retured to fold.
The test of any game (& test of life for true anarchists) is - Are you having fun? Fun is the bottom line. Fun can involve challenge for some & or relaxation for others. One man's fun is another man's terror.
Having said this, I will briefly relate the events of the past week. I tried the Syberia2 demo. It was pretty, & not too difficult. The puzzles actually had some relation to the plot.
Being methodical, I decided to try Syberia1 & advance to the sequal at a later date. I made it thru the French town & took a train ride to town #2. The plot got sillier, the puzzles more inane, (pay attention as the punch-line is coming.
After making numerous trips to the Syberia forum to find solutions, I asked myself the key philosophical question for living homo-sapiens - AM I HAVING FUN?
I uninstalled Syberia & returned to the world of dreams-of world conquest, revenge, & power (the world of total war).
