I was looking at peoples mods, and i believe that this would be a feasible mod. It could be set during the american war of independence with famous battles like lexington, bunker hill, long island, monmouth house and the sieges liike yorktown. I think this would be great, but maybe a bit too short, as the war itself only lasted a decade, but maybe it could be a waht if? like mongol invasion. I wanna see this made. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

it doesn't neccessarily have to be short just cause it lasted only a decade.. Just make the turn terms shorter, like for example instead of a year taking one turn, make a turn only last a month or week instead...

Just think of all those indian rebel regions, weee....
Timeframe wise it needn't actually take longer than ten years perhaps. Maybe all you would need to do is acurately represent the available forces each side had at the start of the game. Basically give each side many more men to begin with so the whole war can take less time. It would make the game sort of a mini campaign (short). Gotta be able recruit indians too.

Also restirction of building stuff so each amn becomes suddenly more importsant as the only place to train them would be far away...?

the best people to talk to are probably the lordz, as they made the napoleon mod, i doubt very much that the could/would do it though, simply cause NTW is still under construction. nevertheless, they know this game inside out. barocca (admin) has also done a fair bit of modding (including music) sounds like a good mod, maybe if we are lucky Rome will include muskets and cannon and the like as well, (not for in game but for modders) so that it instead of MTW, RTW can be modded, which im sure in the end will turn out to be a much better mod.

you're right about waiting for rtw, but the only thing i am worried about when it comes to modding rtw is that making new units or designing your own weapons will be very hard. This game is in full 3d where as the others were 2d making drawing quite simple, but this one will need polygon editing and stuff, so i am a bit scared http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-stunned.gif

I was thinking of doing a mod of exactly this. I have widened my knowledge of this Time frame and Its very interesting. I might make a mod of my own pace and skill of this though. Anybofy want to do some unit graphics for it? http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
