I guess I have never posted before, I tried to post over in the Dungeon about Medmod but was unable to post. Ive been a lurker for over a year now, just reading but wanted to post some feedback about a mod. Is this how I can enable my account to be able to post over there? I hope so, and hello to everyone playing Total War.

you have to get a promo first. this site is designed to prevent spammers and the like from just coming in and screwing it off. junior patrons, like yourself, can post in here (entrance hall) and one (or was it two) other forums. so, my advice, go through the threads here in the entrance hall, make intelligent comments, and give the modderators a chance to get to know you, soon after that you will become a senior patron, quickly followed by membership. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

Welcome, XANUPOX. Enjoy the ride. First promotion comes as soon as the board figures out you ain't tryin' to sell something and are not a raving lunatic. Sometimes they screw up. I got through. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Really?
I always thought that JP could post in the Dungeon, I did as a patron. Maybe ask a moderator?

New patrons can reply to threads in the dungeon, but they can't start their own.

http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif Welcome xanupox.

I've a couple of possibilities as to why you might not have been able to post a reply in the Dungeon:

1) posted before you registered - you were a guest
2) you registered but you hadn't yet responded to your authorization email - you were awaiting authorization
3) you were registered and authorized, but not logged into your account, i.e., you were a guest again.
4) you were trying to post into The Engineers Guild forum and we don't have rules set up yet to allow Junior Patrons to post replies there.
5) your account is messed up in some way.

If you suspect it is reason #4 or #5, let us know and we'll get Tosa to look into it.

I understand now, thanks for the replies. I think my account is fine, its just how the system works.

I got my info through to who needed it anyway though, so its all good.
