How do i beat Vikings

I Just Realized I cant Win against Vikings at sea.. and My ships cant make To the Norway or Denmark. So what I should do... Use spies and emissaries..( Make rebels and bribe).
Is this my only option..?

You only need to hold the british isles to win the viking campaign.

Just survive the viking attacks on the isles, and build your own fleet, 2-3 ships atleast in every shoreline sea area from the north to the south towards norway and denmark.

If you want to you can of course do what you suggested, but it is not necessary to do so to win.

Yeah. After the first 20 years or so, the Viks are generally so far in debt they can't get off their front porch.

once you sink most of their initial fleet, they are no longer a threat as they can't pay off their mortgage to afford more ships and will sit in the north sea with a lone snekjja for the rest of the game. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Keep an eye on Norway, every once and a while it will rebel against the Vikings giving you an opportunity to bribe it with an emissary. Then you can build an army and capture Denmark – much faster (and more fun) than waiting for their conversion to Christianity.

But After defeating Picts I dont think isolation is an option... Still I now own Norway and Denmark I also have isolated Whole viking royal family so they should not be problem for long. Soon Mercia will fall and wales is burned.
