Hi, I'm looking for a game similar to TW. Can you tell me what other games have Real Scale?

Obviously, command&conquer or age of empire doesn't have real scale. I hate it because it looks so unreal -- the soldier is almost as big as a tank.

Is there any?

Yep Try the combat mission series. I made a post about it in the arena if you want to check it out.

You can find more info about the game here Battlefront (http://www.battlefront.com)

Check out the screenshots, demos, and forums to see if its the kind of thing your looking for http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wave.gif

Knights of Honor is supposed to come out pretty soon. It looks a lot like R:TW in scale except that it is 2D like M:TW. Huge battles look possible and some hero development added in.

Hi Kanett

I agree with Satyr, at the moment Knights of Honor does look good and it currently has a web-site which is easy to find.

2 other games that looked promising have since left me disappointed. Spartan has no real control over the battles whereas Lords of the Realm 3 promised so much but never delivered. I would leave these alone and get Knights of Honor after it has received good reviews

Thanks man,
I'm gonna try first Combat mission. This game rate is very good. This might be another beloved game like tw.

Knight of Honor doesn't really have a real scale. Look closely you can see that human size is somewhat bigger than real human size. But almost real though.

American Conquest is really great eye candy. You can get up to 16,000 troops on the field at once. It's a RTS. Each unit is also an individual. Had a lot of fun with it, but the game also has some problems the developers wouldn't address with a patch. Haven't tried the new one that's out, 'cause they haven't fixed the stuff from the first one. But the scale is pretty impressive and realistic for a 2D. You can download demos, but the demo is very limited. Does show the masses of troops, though. You can actually watch the gunners go through the loading procedure, then roll the gun back into position after firing. Must admit I got my $20 worth.

holly crap, spartan looks like crap compared to TW's

That knights one could be good, a mix of totalwar and age of empires.

Can't be that bad - it won the Independent Games Festival 2004 award for Innovation in Visual Arts ;)

Maybe something to do with the style & keeping 2D & 3D graphics, which I've not seen in any other games.

I guess it depends on your taste. It supposed to be much more in depth on the campaign side & lighter on the battles than TW & it allows multiplayer campaigns which is cool

I've got more or less the vast majority of major RTS games to come along so far, and most are really excellent quality games, but as far as raw scale of unit numbers and realistic battles I haven't seen anything that approaches the TW series.
