the new units are cool and the interface is improved with reinforcements etc. and a nice prebattle screen.

It's quite worth it.

There's a MTW Gold edition or something like that, a two-for-one deal. I'd definitely get that. I think the gold edition has the last patch, which cures a bug with the king dying whenever he reaches 56 years old.

The expansion not only has new factions, but new units that address some play balance problems for the existing factions.

Definitely worth it. The whole Viking raids thing is pretty interesting, especially on expert where a unit of Viking Huscarles led by a 9 star general can be awfully difficult to stop. MTW has some improvements to it as well, and new units of course.

Buy the gold version with both MTW and VI.

hi,

consider to get STW also (if u dont have it already). i personaly started playing total war games from MTW, but right now i am hooked on shogun. in my opinion in many ways its superior to MTW.

Fixes the major bugs, new units and factions to play in MTW: different version of the same great game with VI.

I bought it the first day it came out and never regretted it.
