The fall of Rome, very cool mod http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif
You forgot to add MedMod to that list. It's hard to choose just one as the best. It really depends on your taste in style, factions, period etc. Oh and I voted for BKB because it's the only one on that list that I have played.
I can't choose aswell, so many good ones

It's a shame you haven't put Barocca's Shogun Mod for MTW-VI as one of the choices Spartacus...

I've chosen Other, as I think medmod is the best mod around, or will be soon.

Medmod is perhaps the best mod out there, as it is the only one that is complete.

These kinds of topics have the potential to cause trouble.
I think the term best is not a good choice here.
It comes down to personal tastes and opinions.
All Mods have good qualities, some are more expansion then mod, others alter stats, some add entirely new look and feel of a different Era, like HTW and NTW, these are actually full conversions.
They offer new campmaps, totally new animations, units, flags, Icons , Portraits and even Music and Frontend graphics
Truly a grand scale, but again these are different not better or more complete then any other Mod.
to make those distinctions is not really a good topic.
We should be above the my mods better then your mod thing.
So simply put anyone who ventures into the MTW Modding arena will find it is a most enjoyable hobby, that can be very rewarding.
I recomend it to anyone who has an interest , dont be intimidated, I knew nothing of Modding when I first came here, and I had the good fortune of learning from some of the pioneers in MTW Mods Like Lord Krazy my mentor of sorts.
and also the community here at the Org. were most helpful.
And the info here is I think the best in the Total War community. although I may be biased

Indeed it can be very rewarding, enjoyable and a good learning experience. Although I have to say the following:
Warning: Modding can also be very frustrating and time-comsuming, especially if you're a perfectionist Sometimes when I see something I want to change or add and saying to myself only to put in about an half hour to an hour of work and then taking a quick peak at the clock to see what time it is to see it's already 5 hours later http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/eek.gif

Yes, thats true: I thought 7 months, or so, ago, that I´ll help in making some maps for HTW (5 or 7) and now I´m still working at HTW.
Very time-consuming, but also very satisfying.

Jepp, the org is a good place to learn modding. It was not hard to get started after reading some of the guides and if I ran into trobble, I could allway get help in the Alchemist lab. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/bigthumb.gif

i would have said hellenic if it had a self-install so i'll say napoloen because it's flawless and it has a self-install
antalis could you work on a self-install because i'm not getting hellenic unless you do, first time i downloaded it, it mucked up m:tw and i couldn't extract the files propraly.

(It´s in the Dungeon as all mods are.)
I voted other, meaning all. Yes, I think through different perspectives all mods are good and enjoyable at some extent and it´s near impossible to compare them.

No offense to any mod, but I voted other to include Med Mod. It's a great, complete mod, and it has stayed true to the period and nature of MTW. Besides, there's a new version coming out soon. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
