In the MTW battle edition, where's the CD key? I'm trying to play on Gamespy and I can't find the dang thing.

Anyone?

Actually, just as an afterthought, may I say that I have a legal copy of MTW, and am not asking for a CD key (I know you're not that stupid). I'm just asking where the CD key is in the game box.

Try the manual it should be there, I believe it was there for me.

To expand upon what JAG said, in some versions of the game, the CD key is inside the back cover of the game manual.

Hi Axeknight

With Shogun Totalwar/WE..Medieval Totalwar..and Viking Invasion..the CD Key or Key Code or Serial Number (depends on how it is printed) you will find at the bottom of the back cover of the manual.
It is the letters and numbers and - that you will see in the long white box
Remember they are capital letters and numbers and zero's (no capital O )

good luck

Tip, write the CD key onto the CD. That way if you lose everything else, you still have the key.

thought i read over at .com that in the UK (mebbe all europe?) the key is in the manual but in the US it's on the jewel case.

Right motorhead. I recall something like that too.

And Red Harvest has a good suggestion as well. It has been a while, but we do hear about overzealous moms or mischievous little brothers/sisters who toss such things as jewel cases and manuals into the trash.

Sometimes these CD-keys can be a real pain. When I bought the NWN Gold Edition the original game in the bundle had a CD-key that was typed in font that made it impossible to decide for a certain letter whether it was a zero the capital letter O or the capital letter D.
After several failed attempts to type in the CD-key I had to use the CD-key of a friend's copy http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/rolleyes.gif
