installing mods

I'm new to these forums so please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I've donloaded my first mod called Pagan Dawn v2, by Giskard. I put the pagandawn file into my startpos folder, started a new game, but on the campain screen I can not select the campaign, it isn't there. Does anyone know what I've done wrong, because I sure don't.

Have you brought the Viking Invasion addon to M:TW? If so, that's what is causing your problem. The Viking Invasion addon makes a lot of changes to the game, and mods that were designed for the original Medieval: Total War simply don't work.

The way round this problem is to install a second copy of Medieval: Total War in a different directory, and put Pagan Dawn in there.
