first of all this is my first post on this forum so HEY to all and as far as i could see this page has a lot of usefull information and downloads so who ever stand behind this it is a great page:

My question is next:
Which mod would u recomended if i would like to have:

- big battles (enemy has many units)

- lot of different units to build in my provinces (i dont like medmod because u only have a few units that can be produced and this production is limited to the few provinces) I mean if it is possible that u can produce slaw wariors, janicars heavy infantry, byzantine infantry, swiss pikamen ... in provinces that u take. I mean u start as byzantinian then u take russia and start to produce slaw wariors, take turkish provinces and in this cities u can produce janicars, take sicilily and start there to produce sicilian units....
I like the army which is made of all sort of units.

- hard to win (there is no fun if u can conquer half of the map with ease)

THX 4 any reply i hope it isnt the post that was answered many times http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-oops.gif

First of all, welcome to the ORG. This has been a great community, not only for TotalWar but also for friendship.

Second, a confession: I've never played a mod yet, except my own modifications to the game. http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-curtain.gif However, judging from their descriptions, I can recommend the following:

Upcoming MedMod 4.0, with a totally new map and all;
Viking Horde's XL Mod;
Blind King of Bohemia's BKB;
Kekvit Mod;

if you wish to try non-medieval era expansions or localisations then:

Hellenic TW;
Napoleonic TW;
Fury of the Northmen;
Fall of Rome.
[/list]
Finally, you may enjoy my modlet as well, since unit training has been totally reorganized. It's due for release.

Mouzafphaerre, thanks for the info, i was looking for Hellenic Mod, while waiting for Rome Total War :)
might give a Napoleon a go, too, if it's worth it...
