Needing Tech Help with STW Warlord Edition

Hi

Tried to post in the Tech forums'but it won't let me.
Also i was hoping to maybe get qucker answers than have to trawl through the 48 Pages of Video Probs on that Thread.

Most people here won't know me'but i Hachiman from the very old STW Days and the old Org Boards and was active in the Community back from before we even though STW was a pipe dream that was never gonna get released.

I have been missing for several Years'but yesterday reinstalled STW Warlord Edition and have some minor problems that i never used to get.

My current specs.

XP Pro
ABIT NF7 Mobo
Athlon 2500XP at 2GHz
1024MB DDR400 Ram
Soundblaster Live 5.1
9800Pro using Cat3.5(Not the latest Drivers'but i get Best Benchmarks with them)

Having a few Issues.

1 This is the worst.
When i try and exit the game it hands on theDo you
really wat to quit screen).
I can't even Ctrl Alt Del or Alt Tab and have to Turn off
my PC.

2 Subtitles in the Throne Room are appearing well before
the speech.

3 Game Maps seem a lot Darker than i remember or in
Medieval.I can raise the Gamma'but then it makes the
menus practically White.


Any ideas particuarly with the 1st 2 issues?
I have patched to 1.02.

BTW, I recently gave STW a try. I have a Radeon 9700 (and XP) and noticed no dark map. I did note the text/speech out of synch though. When I exit STW, the game freezes, but I can use the task manager to end process on it. I think I only exited normally once in about a dozen tries.
