Does the crash happen at a certain date or when u try to do something (like build a trading post in one of the modded provinces)

thanks for replying
nah, not at all mate, nothing like that -yeah,i backed up http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/gc-2thumbsup.gif
it crashes at the first year change or ctds after loading from game menu.
i assume i have changed the tradable itemsrastically that it flips out.
is therea limit to how many articles i can trade? i assume its three or four, like fish, wood, glass, furs
another point: is there another .txt file or something that is linked to the trade income of a country which i also need to change or can i just change the tradeable items and let the money role in?
to give an example the issue is this; due to modding in the roman age, i want to take away all silk as a commodity from countries not in the far east or on the 'silk route' as before the middle ages silk only came from the far east and through the silk route. silk thereore has a higher value too. can this things explain the ctd?

I don't think there's anything in any of the text files about trade income, as far a I know the only way of changing trade is by adding goods or making them bring in more.
As for why it crashes, I don't know.
U probably need to use ur backup to replace the lines about trade.
But copy those lines out and save them somewhere else, that way, once uv replaced the lines and it still doesn't work, u know the problem is somewhere else.
Its just bad luck.
