View Full Version : Mongol cavalry
Hi, Jon here, a former resident of the old board in the good old days, thought it was about time to get in the swing of things again. So, the Mongol army was formidable, with the majority being cavalry, so does that mean that we will be fighting just endless hordes of cavalry?, also will the cavalry be really potent?, cos if Shogun's heavy cavalry is anything to go by the Mongols are in for a massacring at the hands of yari wielding samurai.

Welcome back, Jon-san, although I've never seen you before. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif It seems many an old patron is returning to investigate the news about the expansion pack... Good!
One of the admins can restore your old-Dojo post count to you, should you want it. (I believe this is what was done with Kage-san and Iron Duke-san, yes?) Most of the information we have about the pack can be found in the "EVERYONE READ THIS NOW!!!" and "What the expansion pack really is" threads.
As for your question, the "ethnic" Mongols who form the core of the invasion army will be cavalry, but there will also be conscripted Korean infantry and possibly other units fighting for them. So they will be able to handle YS, as much as anyone is ever able to handle them. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
